

About Ed
Ed is a proud family man, veteran, business owner, and community leader who shares our conservative values.
As a veteran, Ed bravely served our country in the 30th Armored Brigade of the TN National Guard for almost 8 years to defend the freedoms that we all enjoy. He has owned a small business for over 40 years and understands what it takes to create jobs and strengthen our economy.
As an Eagle Scout, Ed leads a life centered around serving others and is actively involved in our community and in his church. Ed has been married to Marilyn Jackson for 47 years. They are proud to have three children and four grandchildren.


Ed holds a number of leadership positions in the Senate, including chair of the Calendar Committee and 1st Vice Chair of the Operations Committee. He is also a member of the Health and Welfare Committee, the State and Local Government Committee, and the Joint Government Operations Commerce, Labor, Transportation and Agriculture Subcommittee.
Ed was appointed by the Lt. Governor as the only state senator on both the Police Officer Standards Training (POST) Commission and the Juvenile Justice Reform Commission.
Ed is involved with various community organizations, including the Jackson Rotary Club, Crockett County Chamber of Commerce, Fraternal Order of Police, and the National Rifle Association. He serves as V.P. of Marketing for the West TN Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
